This paper briefly expounds the connotation of the informatization of manufacturing industry, and based on the analysis on the requirements of the informatization of the manufacturing industry for the quality of professional personnel, puts forward the reform directions of higher vocational and technical education on the background of the informatization of the manufacturing industry, which mainly include improving and enriching the reaching contents, paying attention to the integration of the information technique, management science and the professional knowledge, laying stress on the teaching of necessary professional basic theories, strengthening the cooperation between the university and the enterprise, and renewing the knowledge structure of the teachers.
