林语堂翻译《浮生六记》之“女性崇拜”情结

大凡研究林语堂的学者,常常触及《红楼梦》对林语堂女性观的形成以及其文学创作的巨大影响,而对林语堂在翻译中所受到的影响却鲜有提及。《浮生六记》是林语堂先生的代表译作,而这两部作品最大共同之处就是对女性的尊重。本文试图从林语堂所译的《浮生六记》中探寻其问的“女性崇拜”情结。

On the Feminity Worship Complex in Lin Yutan's Translation of "The Life of a Loving Couple"

It is universally agreed by scholars studying Lin Yutan that "A Dream of Red Mansions" greatly influences the development of Lin Yutan's outlook toward Feminity and his literary creation, but this influence on his translation is rarely mentioned. "The Life of a Loving Couple" is Lin Yutan's representative translational work, which embodies the same respect toward feminity as "A Dream of Red Mansion" does. This paper serves to probe the feminity worship in "The Life of a Loving Couple" translated by Lin Yutan.
