| 摘 要： | 运用会话合作原则对小说《典型的美国佬》中的经典人物对话进行分析可知:美国多元文化语境中的两位女主人公海伦和特蕾萨隐忍、知性、富有创造力,同时具备充满矛盾的内心世界和丰富强烈的女性自主意识;而男主人公拉尔夫则任性、盲目,总是试图彰显其男性话语霸权。而女性意识也是《典型的美国佬》的重要主题之一。

| Abstract: | The analysis of the conversations in Typical American by using Grice＇ s cooperative principles leads to the following conclusion： the two female protagonists Helen and Theresa who are tolerant, intellectual and crea- tive possess both contradictive inner world and strong female consciousness; while Ralph, the male protagonist, is willful and blindly optimistic, and he always shows male discourse hegemony when facing female characters. More- over, female consciousness is also one of the important themes of Typical American. |
