| Abstract: | Based on the elementary circuit theory, this paper discusses what types of splitting phase circuit elements are used in three phase induction motors with single phase source. The formulae for calculating element parameters are deduced according to parameters of T type equivalent circuit and given slip. The paper also shows in theory that splitting phase circuit can improve power factor. |
