| Abstract: | In this paper,some properties of a strong-coupling exciton in polyatomic polar crystals are studied.An effecitive Hamiltanian of the exeiton is derived by using a linear-combination operator and Lagrange multi- plier method.The effective mass of a strong-coupling exciton is obtained. |
