Design and Implementation of a Street Lamp Monitoring and Management System with SMS/GPRS/USSD and GIS

A SMS/GPRS/USSD and GIS based street lamp monitoring and management system was designed with technologies of computer,automation,automatic detection and communications.It made the monitoring and management of street lamps to be achieved an integrated and intelligent system that consists of modules and networks.The public network technology was adopted to replace the special network technology in the system.Besides,GIS and GPS were used to track vehicles and adjust time in order to realize comprehensive management.Its high stability and interference immunity has been demonstrated in the application of this system in many cities.The efficiency and quality of the street lamp monitoring and management were also improved.
