Abstract:An acid phosphatase with the specific activities 1000u/mg.pr frombarleys malt have been purified by extraction with water,alcohol precipitationand ion exchange chromatography with DEAE-Sephadex A-50.SDS-PAGE of the final preparation revealed a single protein staining bendwith a MW of 71kd.The pl value of 5.6 pH was determined by iso-electric focusing.
