| 摘 要： | 柯尔律治的诗歌以神秘、怪诞著称。本文通过分析《老水手行》中鸟和蛇的意象来解读《老水手行》，在宗教寓意之外发现柯尔律治在诗中隐含的另一个主题，敬畏自然、关爱生命。

| Abstract: | Samuel Taylor Coleridge was well known for his mysterious, legendary poems. This paper focuses on the images of bird and snake in The Rime of theAncient Mariner. Through the analysis of the images of bird and snake, we can find there two motifs in this poem: the motif of religious preach and the motif of reverence to nature and love for all creatures. |
