并行技术在电磁有限元计算中的应用

摘    要:有限元方法FEM(Finite Element Method)是计算电磁学中非常重要的一种方法,而当问题规模较大时或计算量较大时,传统串行单机FEM难以胜任.本文在基于消息传递(MPI)的分布式并行系统上,采用有限元方法对电磁场问题进行并行求解.有限元方法形成的系数矩阵可以表示成块三对角矩阵,适合采用并行多分裂方法高效求解.并行计算技术的运用减少了计算时间并扩展了可处理问题的规模.结果表明,将并行技术应用于电磁有限元计算是有效并且可行的.

Abstract:Finite Element Method is an important method in computation electromagnetics, but the traditional serial FEM is difficult to solve large-scale or large computing problems. This article uses FEM to solve electromagnetic problems on distributing parallel system based on MPI. The matrix from FEM can be expressed as a block-tridiagonal matrix. Parallel multisplitting method can solve it efficiently. Parallel computing technology makes it possible to solve large scale problem and reduce the computing time. Results show that the application of parallel technique to electromagnetic FEM computing is effective and feasible.
