厚结大头蚁的重新发现及再描述(膜翅目：蚁科)

重新发现Frances Smith在一个多世纪以前描述采自我国沿海地区的大头蚁属1种，即厚结大头蚁Pheidole nodifera(Fr.Smith)，对该种进行再描述。

REDISCOVERY AND REDESCRIPTION OF PHEIDOLE NODIFERA Fr.SMITH (HYMENOPTERA:FORMICIDAE)

Pheidole nodifera Fr.Smith，which was collected in China and described by Frances Smith in 1858,is re-discovered in Shi Wan Da Shan of Guangxi,China.The species is re-described in present paper. Pheidole nodifera　(Fr.Smith) 1)　Major Worker 　　TL 6.2，HL 2.04，HW 1.91，SL 1.10，PW 0.69，AL 1.69，ED 0.22，CI 93，SI 57.Head excluding mandibles longer than broad,occipital border deeply concave;median groove feeble,antennal scrobes shallow;transverse impression deeper in the middle of the vertex,feebler in the sides.Anterior clypeal border straight,with a small shallow notch in the middle,carina distinct.Antennal club 3-segmented.Pronotum convex,tranverse groove and ridge of mesonotum distinct.Spine stout,backward and upward.Petiolar node triangular in profile view,with a long and broad subpetiolar process.Postpetiolar node 3 times as broad as the petiolar node in dorsal view.Gaster oval.Mandibles and median part of the clypeus smooth and shining,sides of the mandibles with longitudinal stiations.Vertex with longitudinally rugose,occiput and sides of the head raticulate.Anterior part of the pronotum transverselly rugose.Remaining of the pronotum,mesonotum and propodeum with irregular coarse rugae.Sides of the petiolar node projecting as laminae.Anterior face of the postpetiolar node finely and densely punctate,posterior face coarsely raticulate.Gaster with feeble longitudinal striations,inter-space finely and densely punctate.Erect hairs short,abundant in the whole body.Pubescence sparse.Color reddish brown.Antennae and legs yellowish red. 2)　Minor Worker 　　TL 2.8，HL 0.66，HW 0.53，SL 0.94，PW 0.40，AL 1.00，ED 0.14，CI 80，SI 177.Head oval,occipital border convex.Scapes long,half of their length extending beyond the corners of the head.Anterior clypeal border straight,without median ridge.Alitrunk slender.Propodeum without spine,with only low prominences.The whole body smooth and shining except mesopleuron and metapleuron,which densely raticulate.Hairs sparse.Color yellowish red,head and gaster darker.
