| Abstract: | This paper investigates the impacts by travel information systems on travel behavior through using two models namely stochastic and deterministic user|equilibrium assignments. The study leads to an interesting insight that the effectiveness of travel information systems is not general but conditional. The work is carried out under the assumption of linear cost functions in a simple network. |
