周作人与新潮社

五四时期，周作人是北大的教师，新潮社是以北大学生为主创办的新文化社团。周作人在写了《人的文学》、《平民的文学》等文章之后，成为五四新文化和新文学运动的重要思想家，新潮社在思想上成了他的忠诚的追随者。周作人是新潮社的最后一批社员和最后一任主编。但是，在抗战胜利后，新潮社的主要缔造者傅斯年，却因周作人抗战中的附逆表现，毫不留情地与当年的老师划清了界线。周作人对新潮社的感情也就此断绝。

Zhou Zuoren and Renaissance League

In the 1920s, Zhou Zuoren, a teacher in Beijing University, became a prestigious ideologist of the May 4th Culture and the New Literature Movement after he published articles entitled “Human＇s Litera-ture” and “Commoners＇ Literature”. Renaissance League, a new cultural organization, was established by the students of Beijing University. Because of Zhou＇s great learning and reputation, Renaissance League became one of Zhou＇s followers. Zhou was one of the last members and editors of the League. However, after the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Fu Sinian, one of the main founders, mercilessly abandoned Zhou because of Zhou＇s performance in the war. The relationship between Zhou and the League ended.
