摘    要:为了克服现有ATM网络流量控制参数固定和不灵活的特点,提出一种新的模糊监控算法,并给出了合适的模糊控制规则。这种新算法能够根据信源参数有效地调整监控参数,动态性能较好,具有一定的自适应控制功能。计算机仿真结果表明,这种新的模糊监控算法在降低信元丢失率、改进突发源的响应速度及提高网络资源的利用率等方面都要优于简单漏桶算法,也证明了该算法对ATM网络中现有业务的有效性。这种新的模糊监控算法在ATM网络和其他网络的性能改善与评价中可获得广泛应用。因此,它在理论研究和实际应用上具有重要价值。

Abstract:The used parameters for present traffic control in ATM network are fixed and inflexible. In order to overcome these shortcomings, a new fuzzy policing algorithm is presented, and the suitable fuzzy control rules are given. The policing parameters with better dynamical and self-adaptive control performances are efficiently adjusted based on the traffic parameters by the new algorithm. The results of computer simulations show that the new fuzzy policing algorithm is superior to the simple leaky bucket mechanism in lowering cell loss probability, improving the response speed for the burst traffics, raising the utilization efficiency of network resources and so on. Good effects of the new algorithm are also proved on the present traffics in ATM network. The new fuzzy policing algorithm may be widely applied in performance improvements and evaluations of ATM and other networks. Thus, it is important and valuable in theoretical studies and actual applications.
