| Abstract: | The different ideas on the reproducive organs in the algae were discussed, in this paper. The authors do not agree with the idea that the reproductive organs in the algae are unicellular. The word "organ" means a multicellular structure in the Chinese and English dictionaties. There are the unicellular reprodutive structures in the louver algae and the multicellular ones in the higher algae (Chara and the other algae). When the features of algae err concerned, it will be better to use the concepts, (?)porangiam and gametagium. |
