| Abstract: | Convergence of the viscosity solution for the equations of elasticity is studied when σ" has many zero points and comes under other conditions. A convergence theorem of a subsequence in the strong topology is established by use of the theory of compensated compactness and with the help of an exact analysis of Lax entropy waves. |
