| Abstract: | Investigations were conducted in 146 cases of pregnancy for virus infection by means of tissue culture, neutralization test and enzyme linked immunosorbent assay. Of the 117 cases examined,only 3 strains of enteric virus were found; whereas 87. 1 % of the 114 cases under serum tests for cytomegalovirus gave positive results. T tests for herpes virus (HSV) and Coxsackie virus (CV) showed that only the difference in findings of B1 type of CVwere significant (p<0 .01) compared with the normal population. |
