GLOBAL SUPERCONVERGENCE FOR A MIXED FINITE ELEMENT METHOD FOR THE WAVE EQUATION
Abstract:This paper treats the lowest-order Raviart-Thomas mixed finite element method for second order hyperbolic equation. The superconvergence phenomena between the finite element solution and its elliptic projection have been observed. Thus a global L2-superconvergence of O(h2) is obtained by using one kind of post-processing operator.
