摘    要:江南水乡古镇的基础是水,水因子滋养着这里的水稻文化、桥文化、船文化、渔文化,形成城镇布局和建筑空间,进而酝酿了温柔秀美的江南水乡文化.文章从水因子角度,通过对太湖流域六大古镇形成的历史地理背景分析,归纳了江南水乡古镇的一般地理历史特征,并分别就地域分布的地理特征、形成类型上的特征、内部空间特征及其文化特征等方面进行了分析与阐述,并提出江南水乡古镇研究中有待进一步回答的几个问题.

Abstract:The ancient towns in the Jiangnan water region are founded on water,and the water factors nourish the civilizations of rice,bridges,boat and fishing here,forming the layout and architecture spaces of the towns,further brewing the gentle and graceful cultures of the Jiangnan water towns.This study,from the perspective of water factors and through the analysis of historical and geographical background of the forming of the six major ancient towns,sums up the general geographical and historical characteristics of the ancient jiangnan water towns.And through the respective analysis and elaboration on the geographic characteristics of the regional distribution,characteristics of the forming styles,characteristics of the interior spaces and the characteristics of the culture,it also brings forward several questions to be answered in the further study toward the ancient water towns in the Jiangnan region.
