The Analysis and Troubleshooting of Alenia SIR-M Secondary Surveillance RADAR low Power Level Output Fault

The Alenia SIR--M Secondary Surveillance RADAR is a surveillance system which was import by CAAC in the early stage. With the increase of the operation time, the fault caused by the aging equipment gets more and more frequent,especially the low power level output problem. This article summarizes the reason of low power level output, pointing out the element which may cause the problem according to the RF output signal path. Providing the fault finding procedures of the problem based on the specific case of the system operation for the maintenance engineer.
