CHLOROFORM'S EFFECTS ON REPRODUCTIVE ABILITY OF DROSOPHILA MELANOGASTER

It is discussed the effects of chloroform on reproductive ability of Drosophila melanogaster. The results show that the number of offspring decreases, days of emergence shorten and the sex ratio ( male/female) reduce with days of dropping passing by chloroform. At the same time,it is found that drosophila melanogaster have many malformational individual in chloroform treatment, of which, F₂ and F₃ is the most evident ones.
