Abstract:Drip irrigation is a revolutionary progress in agricultural irrigation technique, which began in 1960s. But the drip irrigation systems and corresponding technique used in soilless culture is now deficient in systematic research in our country. On the basis of abundant investigation and improvement, the automatic drip irrigation system in greenhouse substrate culture, which is suitable for our national conditions, was carried out. This paper discusses the systematic engineering design and its technical functions. Meanwhile, the comparison of the emitter made by ourselves and original one was done. The experimental results showed that the system was provided with high automation, low pressure loss (Pv=4. 4%) , fine regulation of micro-tuble emitter (Cu = 98%) , strong flux complementation when partial emitter plugged, easy control in pests and diseases, low cost, and so on. It could be widely applied in forest seedling propagation, ornamental horticulture, and modern soilless high production culture of vegetables and flowers.
