| Abstract: | A genetic algorithm was applied to the optimal design of a box type fin tube heat exchanger. The proportion of the heat transfer area to the heat exchanger volume was chosen as the objective function, and the detailed optimization steps and the process were discussed here. A useful framework was presented for the optimal design of the box type fin tube heat exchanger. |
