下凹型内孤立波沿台阶地形演化特征试验

摘    要:通过大型分层流水槽中下凹型内孤立波沿台阶地形演化的试验模拟,认识我国南海东北部内孤立波沿海底突变地形传播的规律。利用分层染色标识法显示内孤立波与台阶地形作用过程中的特征变化,采用多点组合探头阵技术对其结构进行定量测量。研究表明:突变地形作用导致内孤立波波幅在台阶附近显著增加,使内孤立波波形变陡并出现尾部波列和极性转换等现象。

Abstract:Through laboratory experiments of the evolution of an internal solitary wave (ISW) of depression overstep topography in a large stratified fluid tank, the propagating characteristics of the ISW along the mutationtopography of the seabed of the South China Sea were studied. The process of the interaction of the ISW and thestep topography was shown using layered dye-injection techniques and its structure was quantitatively measured withmulti-point combined conductivity-probe arrays. The results show that mutation topography can lead to an amplitudeincrease of the ISW near the step and cause the waveform to steepen. Further, dynamic phenomena, such as thetrail wave train and polarity reversal, are generated.
