| 摘 要： | 惠特曼是19世纪美国诗坛最有影响的诗人,他的诗集《草叶集》弘扬民族创新精神,号召美国人要从精神上独立于欧洲大陆,塑造地道的美国新人形象,最好地展示了当时的时代特色和美国梦想。他的新体诗即自由诗,开创了一个崭新的诗歌时代。

| Abstract: | Whitman, the greatest and the most powerful poet in the 19th century American poetic scene. Leaves of Grass praised the national spirit of originality and advocated that Americans must be independent and never count on the European continent and form a new American image in the world. It showed an intact picture of the features of the times and American dream at that time. His new verse---free verse in poem opened a new poetic era. |
