Abstract:Aiming at the pilot pollution problem to be solved urgently in large-scale multiple input multiple output (MIMO) systems, a pilot assignment strategy based on K-means clustering is proposed to alleviate the pilot pollution problem. In this scheme, threshold grouping based on large-scale fading factors and K-means clustering grouping based on user location information are used to group users multiple times, and different pilot allocation schemes are performed for users in different groups. Simulation results show that the massive MIMO pilot allocation scheme based on K-means clustering can effectively suppress the impact of pilot pollution on the performance of massive MIMO systems, improve pilot efficiency and reduce pilot overhead.
