| Abstract: | This paper proposes a new engineering discipline--Engineering System Theory. It discusses rendered background, research objects and contents of the engineering system theory briefly. Finally, the meta-discipline standing of the engineering system theory in the whole knowledge system of engineering science and its development potential are pointed out. |
