| Abstract: | Luzula is a genus over 65 species, its distribution extends into the frigid, temperate and torrid zones of both hemispheres.In the tropic it is restricted to the mountainous districts.In China, there are sixteen species, one subspecies and three varieties including five new species and one new variety.In the present paper, a revision of the plants of this genus in China is made, a results of taxonomic and geographic studies on them are reported and discussed, and a key to the species is provided. This genus consists of twenty (including species, subspecies and variety) in China which are divided into three subgenera, four sections and two series.They are as follows: Subgen.1.Pterodes(Griseb.ex Kanitz)Buchen. Subgen.2.Anthelaea(Griseb.ex Kanitz)Buchen. Sect.1.Effusae K.F.Wu Sect.2.Parviflorae(V.Krecz.)K.F.Wu Subgen.3.Luzula Sect.1.Luzula Ser.1.Luzula Ser.2.Inaequales K.F.Wu Sect.2.Spicatae K.F.Wu |
