关于严复教育思想研究的几个问题

严复从拯世救亡、强国富民的教育目的出发,举西学大旗批判旧式教育,竭力宣扬“教育救国”论,其教育思想是中国近代教育思想中极为特殊的重要组成部分。他在教育改革方面有许多独到的见解,从性质上看,严复的教育思想不属于维新派教育思想的范畴;“西学救亡论”的实质是学习资本主义先进的科学和文化;“统新故而视其通,苞中外而计其全”的文教纲领是融合中西文化的创造性探索;教育实践是教育方法的核心。研究和借鉴严复改革教育的有益见解及尝试,对当前的创新教育改革实践具有启示作用。

On the Study of Yan Fu's Educational Thoughts

Yan Fu advocated learning from the West and criticized the old education system in China.He worked with a strong purpose: to save China from extinction and help China become rich and powerful.He gave all-out support for the theory of saving China through education.Yan's thoughts were the most important part of Chinese modern educational thoughts.He had lots of original views on education reform.Yan's educational thoughts,in nature,didn't belong to the Modernist Party.In fact,the substance of learning from the West and saving China was to learn the advanced science and culture of capitalism.It is of great value to study and use of Yan's beneficial views and attempts on reforming education.It is also of practical significance to carry out and make good use of Yan's thoughts in the field of innovative education reform at present.
