Abstract:A three dimensional model of DC contactor electromagnetic mechanism is established in ANSYS Maxwell simulation,influence of yoke thickness,enameled wire diameter and opening spring preload on the dynamic performance of DC contactor analyzed by orthogonal test,and the orthogonal experimental optimization designed for the three structural parameters.The optimal parameter combination of coil,magnetic circuit and spring is extracted,considering the influence of each parameter on the closing performance and mechanism life,with yoke thickness set at 2 mm,wire diameter at 0.35 mm,and opening spring preload at 6 N.The simulation results show that under the rated voltage,the optimized parameters can reduce the armature closing speed by 16.8% and the coil peak current by 10.0%; thus achieving the goal of armature low voltage holding,reducing the coil energy consumption under steady state operation,and extending the electrical and mechanical life of the electromagnetic mechanism.
