Based on the study on the fictions and plays adapted from "Water Margin" between 1917 to 1949,this paper selects three different plays about "Lin Chong Fled at Night" and makes a case study,tries to explore the diversity and complexity of the modern adaptations on "Water Margin" according to its specific historical and cultural background.
