| 摘 要： | 本文从价值观念、语境、社会功能以及民族性格等四个方面研究了隐性恭维语的特点,隐性恭维语本身没有明确的褒义成分,往往需要结合特定语境的各种因素才能确认,研究英汉隐性恭维语的不同文化特性及差异有助于增强隐性恭维语的语言使用效力,减少跨文化交际障碍。

| Abstract: | In this paper,the cultural differences were analyzed in the four aspects-values,context,social functions and national characters.An implicit compliment is used to praise others with an indirect way in a specific language environment.The study on the characteristics,the differences in different culture,and its effect can strengthen the perlocution and break the barrier to cross-cultures. |
