| Abstract: | The paper provides a preliminary survey about how to translate the images and implication in Chinese ancient poetry. Images and implication are of high value in aesthetic appreciation of Chinese ancient poetry. After a careful analysis of how to deal with those two aspects in translation in perspective of readership, culture communication etc, the paper tends to indicate that foreigniation is very important in translation , especially in poetry translation for the purpose of culture transmission. |
