显性导引对中国学生英语修辞习得的影响

摘    要:以120名大学生的英语作文作为语料,研究中心句的位置,观察中国学生英语作文的修辞特点,以及显性导引对大学生英语修辞习得的影响。前测结果显示:两组学生均倾向于将中心句放置于中间和结尾位置,表明中国学生在英语写作中倾向于间接和归纳式的修辞模式。后测结果显示:接受过显性导引的实验组大幅提高了开头部分中心句的使用频率,使中心句位置大幅度提前,演绎式修辞模式获得更多采用,从而提高了篇章语义的直接性;而控制组则变化甚微,两组呈现出显著差异性。由此可见,显性导引对我国大学生的英文修辞习得产生显著影响。

Abstract:This paper has taken the English compositions of 120 college students as corpus,studying the positions of topic sentences,and tried to discover the rhetorical characteristics of English writings by the Chinese students. The results of the pre-test show that students of the two groups are inclined to put topic sentences in the middle of or at the end of their writings,signifying that Chinese students prefer indirect and inductive rhetorical types in writings. The results of the post-test show that the experimental group who have been trained in explicit guidance are higher in putting topic sentences in the introductory parts,bringing the positions of topic sentences much forward thus making the text meaning more direct,while the control group makes almost no changes,showing no obvious differences. Conclusively,explicit guidance does cast obvious influence on the English rhetorical acquisition by the Chinese college students.
