This paper makes a brief introduction to the library of the University of Illinois at the Urbana-Champaign from aspects of the building layout,circulation management,and openning concept,etc.,compares the present situation of related aspects of domestic and foreign university libraries with a double identity of user and manager,and especially points out some typical shortages of domestic university libraries.
