| Abstract: | This paper offers a new method to calculate the cross sectional dimension of column,that is the dimension is progressively increased and its stabelity is continually checked until it satisfies the condition of stability.Electronic computer being used,engineers will not only avoid troublesome calculatioin by hand,but can find out the cross sectional dimension accordingly with any safety factor of stability. |
