| Abstract: | G.E.Morrison,W.H.Donald and H.J.Timperley were three Australian adventurers in modern China.They were not only preeminent journalists but also political advisers to the Chinese leadership during the republican era,thus holding a unique position in modern Chinese history.This paper explores how they came to China,what journalistic activities they were engaged in China and why they quitted their journalistic profession to establish their political career. |
