| Abstract: | Prof.Xu Yuanchong’s ‘theory of rivalry’ is part of his theory and practice of literary translation,with a long and winding history of development.The theory has fully highlighted his subjectivity as a translator.In his translation practice,he competes with not only the original and its author,his peers and their translations,but also himself and his old translations,just in order to better reproduce the original. |
