| Abstract: | This paper dealt with the brief review of the history of taxonomic work on Lucanidae（Coleoptera： Scarabaeoidea）,which included the progress worldwide and in China since 1735.Several useful notes were added such as the queries in taxonomic category,insufficiency in literature and peculiar type specimens. |
