| Abstract: | Master Hong Yi's (Li Shutong) acquaintanceship with Huang Yanpei, Yang Baiming, Su Manshu and Ye Zhou involves several important events such as his cooperation with the composer of Ode to Motherland, his farewell being made or not to his wife when he left home and devoted the rest of his life to Buddhism, the comments about him by Su Manshu, and his relationship with Xiling Seal\|Engraver's Society. The article tries to make a textual research and an analysis of the four important events respectively so as to enrich Master Hong Yi's study. |
