建瓯万木林自然保护区猕猴资源调查

通过对建瓯万木林自然保护区猕猴种群数量、取食情况、危害作物及行为习性等栖息规律的调查,针对猕猴数量增加和周边山地的不断开发,猕猴危害周边村民农作物增多的现状,提出制定危害补偿办法、扩大保护区域面积、开展赔偿保险业务试点等保护管理措施,为更好地保护猕猴资源,有效化解野生动物保护与周边村民经济利益之间的矛盾,提供科学依据与借鉴参考。

Resource survey on Macaca mulatta in Jian'ou Wanmulin Nature Reserve

The population size, food sources, damage caused to crops, and behavioral characteristics of the Macaca mulatta were surveyed in Jian'ou Wanmulin Nature Reserve. In view of the current situation whereby the population size of the macaques is growing, the exploitation of the surrounding mountain areas is increasing, and the damage they cause to the crops of the surrounding villages is increasing. There have been some countermeasures proposed, in order to better protect macaque resources and to effectively resolve the contradictions between wildlife protection and the economic interests of the surrounding villages. These include formulating methods of damage compensation, expanding the area of the Nature Reserve, and launching a pilot program of insurance business to compensate for the crop damage.
