“RHETORIC”与演讲论辩修辞定义探微

文章简要回顾“rhetoric”研究的发展演变过程并探讨“演讲论辩修辞”的定义扩展问题，提出把演讲论辩修辞从“语辞”研究中分离出来，在我国已经成熟的修辞理论指导下进行更深层次的研究的必要性。文章将演讲论辩修辞的定义扩展为：演讲者针对一定的语境，在充分了解自身性格特点和听众心理期盼的基础上，恰当地调整目光交流、面目表情、手势、站姿等态势语和谋篇、成段、锻句、选词、设格等言辞调整手段来说服听众或者给听众传达各种信息的言语活动。

An Extension of the Classical Concept of Rhetoric

This paper reviews the evolution of the studies on rhetoric. It ends up with an extension of the classical concept of rhetoric, that is, rhetoric refers to the speech activities to inform or persuade others based on the psychological understanding of both the speaker and the audience, communication principles, extralinguistic context, proper organization of the speech, careful selection of words and expressions, and appropriate body language.
