HIGH-ACCURACY FINITE ELEMENT METHOD FOR OPTIMAL CONTROL PROBLEM

Abstract:This paper aims to present a high accuracy approximation and superconvergence for the distributed convex optimal control problem. In the basis of integral identity technique, we discuss the superconvergence of the rectangular finite element and the uniform triangular finite element for the optimal control problem. Using interpolation postprocessing technique, we construct a high accuracy finite element approximation scheme. The numerical examples demonstrating these results airs also presented.
