我国大学英语教育的过度与不足

一方面,我国大学英语教育存在着一定程度的过度现象,原教学大纲及新教学要求对大学生的英语词汇量和语法知识的要求过高过深;另一方面,英语教育又存在某些不足现象,对于大学生应该掌握的英语基本知识、基本技能要求太少,训练不足;对于研究生来说,对目的语国家与母语国家的文化背景之间的关系了解不够,又使他们缺乏研究的功力。因此,应该改变现有大学英语教育的现状,对过高要求适当调整,对不足部分适当补强。

Over-education and Under-education of the College English Education in Our Country

On one hand,there exists over-education to some degree in the college English education in our country.Both the previous Teaching Syllabus and the new Teaching Requires demand too much for the vocabulary and the grammar. On the other hand,there also exists under-education in the English teaching.Its requirements are not sufficient for the basic knowledge,and the basic skills as well,which the college students should master and they also have not enough time for practicing.For the graduates,they know too little about the differences of the cultural background between the target language countries and their native country,thus preventing them from researching further.So the present situation in the college english teaching should be changed,some adjustments should be made for the too high demands and supplements for the insufficiency.
