嵩阳书院教育史述论

摘    要:书院是我国封建社会特有的一种教育组织形式,它是以私人创办为主、聚集大量图书、教学活动与学术相结合的教育场所。它大多是由名著一时或学甲一方的鸿学巨儒创办或主持的民间私立高等学府,朝廷通过赐书、赐田、赐产等方式予以承认和支持,从而形成的一种特有的教育场所。书院兴起于唐末,终止于清末,存在了一千年之久,始终与官学、乡校同时并举,对中国古代教育的发展及人才培养产生过重要的影响。嵩阳书院在我国古代书院中占据着重要的地位,对其兴衰及教育活动进行研究,有助于借鉴古代书院教学活动与学术活动的成功经验,指导今天大学的教学及学术活动。

Abstract:Academy was a unique educational organization form in Chinese feudal society. It was a teaching - research combined educational place and mainly founded by famous scholars. Academy was firstly admitted and supported by government through the way of awarding books, lands and properties. Academy emerged at the end of Tang dynasty and ended at the end of Qing dynasty. Songyang academy had a very important position in Chinese ancient academies and its influence on ancient educational development and talents cultivation was significant. E- ven in today, Songyang academy' s development history still has positive influence on modern universities' academ- ic activities.
