The Computer Optimum Design Method with Intelligent of Strip Layout for Multistep Stamping Progressive Dies and Its Application

This paper analyses in detail some problems influencing the strip layout design of the multistep stamping progressive die, gives optimum design rules of the strip layout, which can be used by computer, sets up a practical mathematical model and puts forward a new, high efficiency and reliable method that can complete the design automatically. This paper also gives a brief introduction to "a strip layout CAD system with the intelligence of multistep progressive dies" and its applications that are initiated by the authors.
