| 摘 要： | 探讨性地分析了现代英美俚语中缩写词、缩略词和简化词的构词规律。缩写词是由一个短语中每个单词的首字母组成,缩略词是指由某个单词的前几个字母、中间几个字母或首尾字母组成的词,简化词指的是那些取字母的形状,字母在字母表中的位置及发音特点而形成的简化字。这些规律表明了英语将在词、句子和语法方面不断简化的发展趋势。

| Abstract: | This article tries to centre on the word formation of acronyms, clipped and simplied words in the
slang of modern English. Acronyms are the words which are formed from the initial letters of
words that make up a phrase. "Clipping" denotes the substraction of one of more syllables from
a word. The simplified words refer to the words that are formed according to the shape of the let-
ter, the pronunciation of the letter and the order in the alphabet. The pattern of the word forma-
tion shows us that English will be simplified in the future. |
