| 摘 要： | 提出了一种基于栅格编码TCQ的图象压缩编码量化方法。论述了TCQ量化方法的理论基础栅格编码调制TCM和维特比算法的基本原理。在研究普通TCQ量化方法和其中集合划分存在问题的基础上，探讨了另外一种划分方法的可行性，得到通用栅格编码量化方法UTCQ。根据对实际图象量化结果的比较，证明了UTCQ的有效性。

| Abstract: | An image quantization method based on trellis coded modulation is presented. For the theory foundation of trellis coded quantization, trellis coded modulation technique and Viterbi algorithm are discussed. By studying trellis coded quantization, we found a problem about set partitioning step of this method. We solved this problem by using another set partitioning technique, forming universal trellis coded quantization. Experimental result of universal trellis coded quantization is presented and compared with uniform quantization .Performance of universal trellis coded quantization is quite competitive. |
