| Abstract: | The paper introduces the technologies of relational data base management system (RDBMS) and object-oriented data base management system (OODBMS), and reviews the debate about RDBMS vs OODBMS in recent years. Finally the author anticipates that the competition between these two management systems shall be of benefit to the applications developer and the user. |
