Research Progress on Generation Mechanism and Detection Methods of Reactive Oxygen Species During Photocatalytic Reaction Based on TiO_2

Abstract:Reactive oxygen species(ROS)play a very important role in photocatalytic reactions.Titanium dioxide(TiO_2)is chosen as an example to briefly overview the production process of several typical ROS such as superoxide radical(·O_2~-),hydroxyl radical(·OH),singlet oxygen(~1O_2)and hydrogen peroxide(H_2O_2)during its photocatalytic reaction.The general detection methods of ROS are introduced in detail,and suggestions and prospects are given for the problems and development trends of ROS in the research of photocatalytic reactions.
