基于WWW的通用型多媒体教学系统的开发

为适应现代教育技术的发展 ,建立了一个基于WWW的通用型网络多媒体教学系统 ,并应用本系统开发出机械原理网络多媒体教学软件。为使系统具有良好的通用性和可扩展性 ,提出了“创作系统 动态链接库扩展 Java Plug- in”的新的开发方案 ,综合发挥了多种开发工具的优势 ;建立了积件式系统模型 ,并开发了一个小型积件库 ;设计了双服务器系统结构 ,改善了客户机与服务器间的通信 ,并在很大程度上节约了多媒体数据的传输量。该通用型教学系统的研制成功 ,可以促进其他课程多媒体教学系统的开发 ,并将产生很大的教学效益和经济效益

Implementation of WWW-based general multimedia distance teaching system

This paper presented a general purpose of the WWW based multimedia distance teaching system. A distance teaching system of mechanism and machinery was developed. An easily expanded and integrated system model was presented with a small library of integration tools. A dual server architecture was devised to take advantage of various development tools and to optimize communication between clients and servers. This architecture reduces the amount of multimedia data transferred to the clients. Other innovative steps also reduce the network traffic. The system will accelerate the development of other teaching systems and will improve future teaching practice.
